1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AlcScan ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Entertainment Purpose Only

AlcScan is designed and intended solely for entertainment purposes. The app provides estimated Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) readings that are not medically accurate and should never be relied upon to make decisions about driving, operating machinery, or any activity that could be impacted by alcohol consumption.

3. No Medical or Legal Advice

AlcScan does not provide medical, legal, or safety advice. The BAC estimates are approximations based on general formulas and may not reflect your actual BAC. Many factors affect BAC that the app cannot measure, including food consumption, medications, health conditions, hydration levels, and individual metabolism differences.

4. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that any reliance on the BAC estimates provided by AlcScan is at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your decisions and actions, including the decision to drive or engage in any activity after consuming alcohol. Always err on the side of caution and use a designated driver or rideshare service if you have consumed any alcohol.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers and operators of AlcScan shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app. This includes, without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, lost profits, or any other damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the app.

7. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

AlcScan offers premium features ("AlcScan Pro") through in-app purchases. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Prices are displayed in the app prior to purchase. All sales are final unless otherwise required by applicable law. To request a refund, please contact Apple directly through their support channels. Subscriptions, if applicable, will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings under your Apple ID.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of AlcScan, including but not limited to the design, graphics, text, and code, are the exclusive property of AlcScan and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

9. App Store Terms

Your use of AlcScan is also subject to the terms and conditions of the Apple App Store. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the App Store terms, the App Store terms shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app at any time, without prior notice, for any reason. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
